About the movie collection: |
Finding and restoring lost movies is a passion with us. Films about local towns are exciting to find. Wilmington, Delaware was my home town, and last year we found a 35mm black and white movie made in 1956 showing the stores and people in Wilmington. The places were familiar to me, although the people weren't, since I was only 7 years old at the time. It was originally shown at the Queen theater on Market Street. |

If you are from Southern New Jersey you will find the movies of Millville and Salem very interesting. In fact they caused a sensation in Millville when the great people from that town, now scattered across the country, saw friends and family as they were many years ago. Movies are a time machine. |

People know me as an animator working on TV shows, where on www.Sufferincats.com you can see some of my work. Moviemice.com is an outlet for everything else. On this page are photo galleries of projection rooms of movie theaters, silent movie studios, cameras, and some optical toys. On the video page is an odd collection of movies that we have found, and some that I have made. Originally they were posted for our own amusement so we could visit the collection from anywhere in the world. But since then, lots of people have discovered these old travel films, antique machines, cartoons, and the small American towns which we love so much. |

Flash is my preferred program for drawing traditional style animation. A couple of years ago while working on a Flash TV show, I coded some Flash plug-ins. Lots of animators use these now. You can download these for free, and also see a useful tutorial on Flash symbols, by following the links above. The 4 in 1 panel has some amazing features that help you take your ideas in Flash from storyboard to finished movie in one continuous project. |
